Privacy Policy

This policy describes what Jack & Roo LLC (operating as Restful Night Studios, "we") collects when you use restfulnightstudios.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Jack & Roo LLC is the entity responsible for the data described here. We have written it to match what the site actually does. If our data practices change, we update this page in the same change that ships the new behavior.

What we collect

You can read the site and use every audio tool without giving us any personal information and without creating an account. We collect data in only the specific cases below.

Email you give us

If you sign up for updates or request a free guide, we store the email address you enter, along with which page and channel you signed up from and which guide you requested. We use this to send you the guide and occasional related updates. We send those emails through Resend, an email delivery provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Anonymous usage events

To understand which sounds and articles are useful, we record anonymous events such as when audio starts or a session completes. These events include a randomly generated identifier, the channel and page, and basic session details (for the audio generator: the preset, frequencies, and duration). They are not linked to your name or email, and we do not use them to identify you.

Affiliate link clicks

On the small number of pages that recommend products, clicking a product link records that the click happened, from which page, along with your browser type and the referring page. We use this to understand which recommendations are helpful. It is not tied to your identity.

Server logs and abuse prevention

Like any website, our host processes standard request information (including IP address) to serve pages and to rate-limit abusive traffic. We use IP address transiently for rate-limiting and do not store it as part of the usage events described above.

What we do not do

• We do not run third-party advertising or tracking pixels, and we do not use analytics services like Google Analytics.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• We do not process payments on this site. There is currently no live checkout or paid subscription.
• The audio tools store your preferences (such as volume or saved sessions) only in your own browser. That data stays on your device and is not sent to us.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers that make the site work, and only as needed for that purpose:

• Supabase: our database and backend, which stores the email and event data above.
• Resend: sends the emails you sign up for.
• Vercel: hosts and serves the site.
• Amazon: product recommendation links point to Amazon, which applies its own privacy practices once you leave our site.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Cookies

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie the site sets is a secure administrative session cookie, which is used solely for site management and is never set for ordinary visitors.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time. You may also ask us what data we hold about your email address, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To make any of these requests, email privacy@restfulnightstudios.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. When we change what we collect or how we use it, we revise this page in the same release and update the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here rather than announced separately, so the date at the top always tells you when the current version took effect.
